Internal Analysis – Meeting 3 Reflection
We have discussed Internal Analysis. Internal Analysis is a review of an organization’s strength and weaknesses that focuses on those factors within its domain. Also, Internal Analysis is a strategic analysis that focuses on the key features of an organization that will be systematically evaluated. Moreover, Internal Analysis is also referring to SWOT Analysis; SWOT stands for Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Also, Internal Analysis is a strategy that could provide information about the organization’s Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Thus, with the information that has generated by the Internal Analysis, it can be used to create strategic planning for the organizations to be sustainable and to grow as a strong business firm.
The importance of organization’s strength and its competencies. For the organization to compete with other firms, the organization or firms should know the strengths that the organization possessed, such as human resources, technology systems, strategic planning, and capabilities. So that the organization could compete and will have a strong brand identity, and for the firm to have an advantage in meeting all the requirements and needs of its target market. Also, with the Internal Analysis, the resources of the organization will be categorized according to their priority level. The data resources that the organization has could be examined of its usefulness to achieve the objectives of the organization and to successfully execute all the strategic plans for the organization’s primary missions.
The internal Analysis is divided in to 4 parts, it is abbreviated us SWOT stands for Strength, Weaknesses, opportunities, and Threats. That each of the parts has its own perspectives.
First is the strength. In Internal Analysis, the organization has to start thinking and asking questions of what are the strength that the organization has, and what are the things that the organization is best at. The strength that the organization has to find out are the following: The Financial Strength, it includes the resources, the products and services that the organization has to offer to customers. The Customer Strength, it includes the monitoring of sales growth and as well as knowing the competitors weaknesses.
Second is the weaknesses. In Internal analysis, the organization should also think and start asking questions of what are the weaknesses that the organization has. In weaknesses it is the opposite of the strength of the organization. The analysis will start with identifying what are the things that the organizations are not good at. Knowing the financial issues that might arise in the future. In overcoming weaknesses it is all about prediction and anticipating the problems.
Third is the opportunities. In Internal Analysis, after knowing the strength and weaknesses, the organization could now seek opportunities. The organization could now identify what are the possible opportunities that may offer with analyzing the situation. The organization could avoid and prevent the possibilities that might encounter later in the process.
Lastly is the threats. Each organization has threats to overcome and anticipate. In the process of Internal Analysis, the organization should also identify the threats that the organization is unconsciously facing. The organization should identify the threats in financial aspects, threats in the customers, threats in internal aspects, and the growth of these threats.
Now that we have identify the SWOT, the organization could now start generating strategic plans and implement that strategic plan according to the process. That is the Internal Analysis is all about, which is also refer to SWOT analysis. After this topic our professor immediately instructed to apply these analysis base in our life. The following are all about the discussion of the SWOT that I have identified.
Moreover, our professor instructed us to identify our roles in the following: Family, Workplace, Community, and World.
First is my role in my family. I am the fourth son of the family. I am the one who is always asked to do tasks, such as doing house chores which very tiring to do so, buying something outside even if it is rain or shine. My parents always ask me even though I have four (4) siblings. I do not know why they do not order them to do tasks or to buy something outside. It irritates me all the time; maybe it is because I cannot just disobey them. Also, what irritates me the most is that my siblings could disobey them or decline than with that, I will be the one to do the task instead. Do we have to obey our parents all the time?
Second is my role in the Workplace. Currently, I am a student at the University of Southeastern Philippines. I am taking the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and I am now a third-year student. Honestly, I do not do my very best, as I always procrastinate. Even though I am now a third-year college student, I still do not feel passionate. Like, I do not have the determination, or I am not that motivated enough to do academic tasks. I just come to school for the sake of attendance. And I always do my assignments and projects a day or a week before the due date, and it is called Cramming. Though, students always do cramming, especially in exam week. Still, in my case, it is way too different. I do not feel passionate and motivated. I choose not to do academic tasks willingly. It is like I do not have any choice. But recently, I feel motivated, or maybe it is just I feel the pressure because our professor is pressuring us with a bunch of reflections with thousands of words required.
The third is my role in the Community. In the community, I am just youth or a student with so much of responsibility to uphold to. I have the responsibility of maintaining a good relationship with others. I should have a good will. I have the responsibility of being always kind. I have the responsibility of being respectful to others all the time, no matter what circumstances. I have the responsibility of being a good listener for a better change. And I have to take full responsibility for fulfilling my role as a good youth in a community, not just in a community but also in schools and other workplaces. Though I am a student with less passion for being a one. I am doing my very best in fulfilling my role as a good youth in a community. Though, there are times that I am irresponsible, such as having a deviant behavior or a negative response to others.
The Fourth is my role in the World. Frankly, I do not have any idea what my role in the World. Like literally in the World. It is the world we are talking about. Do I have a role in the World? There are billions of people on earth. Unlike in a community, all I have to do is to be a good youth in the community and taking full responsibility for fulfilling the role of being a good youth. All I ever wanted in the world is to have world peace, literally world peace. If I do have a role in this world, it is myself. Even though my life is very ordinary and boring as hell, it still affects everyone around me, especially my parents who are working for supporting in my academics, though I do not do well in school. But still, being myself affects my friends who are always good to me, classmates who always share their assignments. And especially in politicians, even though I am an ordinary person, my role affects them, they need my vote for them to get the positions they are interested. Generally speaking, all I think of my role in the world, is being myself, being a good person, being respectful and responsible. So that I will become a good role model for others in the future, everyone should be a good person as well.
Furthermore, our professor also instructed to identify the things we love, the things that we are best at, and the things the irritate us.
Our world is full of wonderful things to love. There are so many interesting cultures in each different countries, in diffirent cities and small towns. There a lot of wonderfull animals to love, such love to have cats and dogs. There are a lot of thigns to love but these are things I love the most.
First of all, the things that I love. For this, all I think of is myself and my family. I love myself more than more any other, same as I love my family. I love my own country. I love the culture that we have, the uniqueness of humor that we have. We have a love for our friends even for our enemy. All we need is just to love all the things that we have. We have to cherish the people that we love the most, especially family and friends.
Moreover, the things that I love aside from myself, family and my country and its culture. The following are the things I personally love: eating, playing video games, watching movies, and I love sleeping. I think is it very true for everyone that we love to eat because we cannot live without food. We love to watch movies, for us to be entertained, and as well as for pass time. Though it is my hobby of playing video games, I think there are some people love to play video games or online games, at any age. And lastly, we love sleeping; everyone loves sleeping. It is important to have enough sleep each day. That are the things I love. Each of us has someone to love, has interests, and passions.
Secondly, the things that I am best. Honestly, I cannot think of the things that I am best at, but what I am best of is that I am best of being myself. Although, there are times that it is difficult to be yourself. But still, I am trying to become more of myself. I do not have any talents or any good at academics. But what I am trying to be best is to fulfill my responsibility as a good person. To become more reliable to anyone who needs my help and accompany.
Lastly, the things that irritates me or the things that I hate the most. There are a lot of things that irritates me. It irritates me if there is someone that is very noisy, the voice is too loud. It irritates if there are a lot of garbage that has not been put to trash bins. Those are very simple things that irritates me a lot. But the most thing that really irritates is that the feeling of having frustration. I really hate to be frustrated. For example, we have this subject Programming, we ask to solve some of machine problems which are very simple to read at first but when you start solving the problem you will not get the correct answer. It I s very frustrating.
Giving these things that I have stated, I could relate that these discussion, the Internal Analysis will help us to hone our skills and capabilities to become a Technopreneur. So that we can generate a very great idea that is something first, something unique, and most importantly something interesting idea. Internal Analysis let the organization to find out the strength and weaknesses of the firm, and not just for the organization but also for ourselves. The process of Internal Analysis could be applied to our life, how we find our strength and how we overcome out weaknesses. With this, knowing our strength and overcoming our weaknesses will us to opportunities, we could easily have an opportunity that will become a key to be a Technopreneur. Moreover, mastering our strength will also help us to overcome the threats that will encounter someday.
These are the things that we have discussed this meeting, we have discussed about the Internal Analysis which could be relate to our life. That how we handle and find our strength and overcome our weaknesses. It made me realize that why we have discussed these topics is that our professor giving us insights on how to properly become a Technopreneur. How we relate these things to become more of ourselves.
